Academics
Academics at LanLearning revolve around the concept of peer-learning, which we define as learning from and with individuals who are in a similar level of experience.
How it works:
The Onboarding Stage:
Learner Onboarding
After program sign-up, learners are sent a welcome and can join our social bonding events.
Technical Setup
During Week 1, learners will better understand program logistics and complete technical setup to participate.
The Learning Loop:
Attend Sessions
Learning starts at our virtual sessions–a common ground to facilitate conversation and exchange information.
Continue Learning
Our community is always online on Discord and will answer questions after any session to continue the learning process.
Mix in the Outside
With sufficient time between sessions, there's independent opportunities to apply learnings outside of virtual sessions.
Share Learnings
We maintain areas for everyone to share their curiosities and explorations until it's time to regroup again virtually.
The Safety Net:
(We have our learners' backs!)
Missed a session?
Sometimes we're sick, sometimes we're busy, sometimes we just don't feel like learning. And that's okay!
Most sessions are recorded and made available and the community is there to fill our learners in!
Where can I find...?
Each InspireCamp has its centralized resource hub and session schedule.
Curriculum and other materials are available in real-time so learners can access all material without having to ask the simple stuff. Here's an example.
The Behind-the-Scenes:
InspireCamp Training
Our Academic and Operation Teams puts together resources, guides, and training to support the session and program development process to ensure learning quality.
Feedback Loop
Feedback strengthens the learning process, and for us that's most paramount. Our teams are trained to be agile and adjust based on incoming learner feedback and suggestions.
Some benefits of peer-to-peer learning include:
Knowledge Sharing
A peer-to-peer learning environment allows knowledge to flow easily and naturally among individuals.
Improved Engagement
Content shared by peers is often up-to-the-minute information, improving engagement through content relevancy.
Social Development
Peer relationships allow individuals to practice a range of socio-emotional skills, such as empathy, cooperation, problem-solving.
